Sunday is Eureka Seven Day

NYAF is just a week away. You can feel it, can't you? We've got three days of awesomeness in the Javits Center, a pre-party the night before at Dave & Buster's including a cake by Charm City Cakes, and -- leading it all off -- Eureka Seven Day is September 20 at Kinokuniya Bookstore in NYC.

Celebrate NYAF early this Sunday at Kinokuniya and get a glimpse of Bandai Entertainment's Eureka Seven motion picture, showing for one night only in theaters on September 24. This Sunday will be a lot of fun and the best way to get in the mood for the New York Anime Festival. Oh, and beyond our general giveaways, did I mention there'll be free Eureka Seven T-Shirts for the first 500 fans?

Other than the Eureka Seven Day reminder, the big news this week is that AKB48 Webster Hall concert tickets are now available at nyanimefestival.com. These tickets are free and will be given out via an online lottery, so all you need to see AKB48 is a little bit of luck. Ganbatte!

Anything else? Oh, yeah, we announced our 2010 dates. Next year, NYAF will take place October 8-10 in the Jacob Javits Center, the same dates as New York Comic Con. The two shows will be co-located with separate panels and guests but a shared show floor -- and one ticket will get you into both. It's a big move and a bold move, but it's a good move and something that'll take NYAF to the next level. Count on more details once this year's New York Anime Festival is complete.

Keep your eyes on www.nyanimefestival.com, www.mediumatlarge.net, and www.twitter.com/ny_anime_fest, as NYAF's just around the corner! And if you need any help while you're at the con, text us at 36263 and enter keyword "NYAF" into your message. (For example: NYAF Where is the ANA Theater?)
